Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird predicted Donald Trump will “win big” on Monday at the state caucuses.
Bird appeared on Newsmax on Saturday ahead of the first caucus in the nation to offer her political analysis. The AG also spent the day alongside Trump for a virtual rally.
“I think that President Trump is going to win big on caucus night,” Bird said, noting that any win by more than 10 points has historically been considered “a blowout.” “He’s polling at well above that, so my big prediction is I think President Trump is going to take first, second, and third place. He’s going to have such a big, historic win, and I think it’ll all be over.”
However, Bird still encouraged voters to make their voices heard.
“My biggest concern for President Trump is just that people don’t take that lead for granted, and they make sure they get out there and vote and make their vote count because that’s the one that really matters,” Bird said. “But you know things can happen. I don’t think we’ll have any surprises in Iowa. President Trump is way ahead.”
Bird became the first Iowa Republican Attorney General since 1979 in November 2022.
