The Federal Bureau of Investigation took iPhones, laptops, binders, and folders from New York City Mayor Eric Adams‘s chief fundraiser’s home during a raid on Thursday.

FBI agents reportedly took three iPhones from Brianna Suggs’s home, along with two laptops, several papers, a “manila folder labeled Eric Adams,” and a number of “contribution card binders,” per the New York Times.

It was reported Thursday that Adams had abruptly canceled several items on his schedule, including a meeting with senior White House officials on the migrant crisis in New York after he had already departed the city. He returned to New York right away, which he later said was because of the raid on Suggs and the investigation.

According to a warrant obtained by the New York Times, agents believed some foreign contributions to Adams’s campaign could have been made as part of a donor scheme under the names of people who had not contributed. The FBI was reportedly seeking potential evidence for several charges, including federal funds theft, conspiracy to steal federal funds, wire fraud, wire fraud conspiracy, foreign national campaign donations, and conspiracy for those contributions.

Suggs has been a longtime ally for Adams and still consults for him on his reelection campaign. The mayor’s reelection campaign in 2025 has seen more than $2.5 million in contributions thus far.

She has received roughly $100,000 over the last two years from Adams through her company Suggs Solutions, for services including fundraising and campaign consulting, per city records. Suggs was also paid $50,000 for lobbyist services during his mayoral campaign in 2021.
