Prime Day is here, finally. Amazon’s annual summer sale will get blanket coverage across the internet as publishers step over each other to push discounted air fryers and phone chargers.
Prime Day has moved up a few weeks from its usual timeline to get ahead of July 4, and all the incoming Sesquibicentennial Sales. (“America’s 250” seems to be more widely adopted terminology—we prefer sesquibicentennial). Having spent the last few weeks digging through deals under embargo, we can attest that this year’s bargains aren’t quite as good as we’ve seen in the Peak Prime era, but there are still lots of very serious discounts to be had if you’re patient and a little picky.
We’ll be updating our overview of the absolute best Amazon Prime Day deals several times a day, and we’d encourage you to check that out if you’re shopping for something specific. Our coverage is a little different than what you find on the rest of the web—we only include products someone on our team has personally tested, and we limit ourselves to products actually discounted from the prices we’ve been tracking. Over here on the live blog, we’ll be having some fun spotting trends and odd products, plus going a little deeper on some gadgets we love.

My First Prime Day Purchase: More Workout Clothes
I love working out. I love lifting heavy objects and hobbling up the stairs and worrying about protein and being hungry all the time. But with all the benefits that come with regular exercise, there’s one drawback They don’t want you to know about: You have to do so. Much. Laundry.
Or you can be like me and buy an excessive amount of dedicated workout clothes in an effort to prolong your time between laundry for as long as possible. I’ve purchased seemingly at least one of every item that CRZ Yoga makes and have yet to have a bad experience, though I wish for pockets sometimes. The clothes are close to Lululemon quality for less eye-watering prices, which makes a big difference when you’re essentially buying in bulk. Most of the brand’s workout pieces are on sale for Prime Day for around $24 apiece.
This Powerful Dyson Just Got Demoted, Making It The Perfect Time to Shop
The real move is to wait and get a Dyson vacuum once it’s a little older, letting it come onto a more serious sale and eventually show up at your local Costco. The powerful Dyson Gen5Detect launched in the US in 2023 and is one of our favorite vacuums for pet owners, thanks to its powerful suction and HEPA filtration that keeps pet dander from just circulating back into the air; the true power button is also a nice upgrade from the trigger that older Dyson stick models had. And after Dyson launched three new stick vacuums this month, this slightly older model is available for a better price than we saw at any sale event last year.
This Steam Mop Vacuums, Too
Editor Kat Merck has been testing the Dreame Aero Pro for a few weeks and says that it works well. She shares my sentiment in that she wishes it used a solution rather than just water to clean, as it doesn’t leave behind any sort of fresh scent. (We are working on ways of testing this.) When it comes to cleaning power, it can handle dry messes as a vacuum and wet messes as a mop, with easy maneuverability and long runtime. It’ll be a pick in an upcoming, soon-to-be revamped buying guide, but you can get ahead of the curve and save some cash in the process.
This Is the Least Intimidating Way to Try Snail Mucin
The snail mucin discourse has been going on long enough that you probably already have an opinion on it. Perhaps you’re intrigued but not ready to commit to slathering slime on your face. If that’s the case, Cosrx’s Advanced Snail Mucin Gel Cleanser is the right place to start. It foams like a normal cleanser, so if the goop factor is what’s been holding you back, no need to fret. It’s formulated for dry and sensitive skin, and despite containing fragrance (usually my dealbreaker), my skin didn’t freak out. Now on sale, it’s a low-stakes way to discover what the snail hype is about on your own.
This Dutch Oven Can Become a Family Heirloom

Photograph: Lodge
I have several Dutch ovens, including a very nice Staub that I use regularly. This 7.5-quart enameled cast iron Dutch oven from Lodge, which is on sale for $83 ($17 off), is the one I have the most memories with, however. That’s because this big and beastly oven is great for making holiday meals for my full family. I rarely use it other than at holidays since it’s so large, but I cook Christmas dinner in it every year. The slightly smaller Staub version is $300 on sale, and I would never use it enough to make it worth it. This one looks just as nice and has a humble, down-home vibe that I wouldn’t trade for any other large French cocotte.
This Cooler Is Perfect for Charcuterie Lovers
One thing about me is that I’m gonna bring some snacks to the beach. If there isn’t prosciutto, kettle chips, sharp cheddar, and fig spread, what are we even doing at the beach? The Ninja FrostVault is the perfect cooler for snackers because it has a little drawer at the bottom. You can store items you want to keep cool and dry there without needing to pile them in separate containers inside of your valuable ice space. It’s on sale in several colors that are much more stylish than the white version I tested.
The Best Fitness Tracker for Beginners Is Nearly Half Off
The Google Fitbit Charge 6 has long been one of my favorite fitness trackers for beginners, but I’ll often recommend the newer screenless Fitbit Air because it’s also the cheaper option. But at under $100 for Prime Day, the Charge 6 is back in the conversation.
The Charge 6 gives you enough health and fitness data to build better habits without drowning you in metrics you’ll never understand or look at. Unlike the Air, it also has a bright AMOLED touchscreen, making it much easier to check stats, workouts, and notifications.
The Charge 6 also benefits from Google’s ecosystem. You get support for Google Wallet, Google Maps, and YouTube Music controls right on your wrist, along with call, text, and app notifications from your phone. It has a built-in GPS for tracking outdoor workouts without bringing your phone along, and its heart rate monitoring is impressively accurate for the price. If you spend time at the gym, it can even connect to compatible equipment, including Peloton bikes and NordicTrack treadmills.
Yeti Coolers Aren’t Discounted Often, But This One Is Right Now
I’ve tested several coolers for our buying guide and can confidently say that Yeti is worth every penny. I recently had the 32-can version of this in my backseat during two 88-degree, 80% humidity days and it still had ice in it when I finally went and fetched it. The Roadie 15 is perfect for a little beach trip. A handful of colors are on sale for the lowest price we’ve seen.
The Newest iPad Air Is The Perfect Middle Ground
The iPad Air feels like the middle child between the ultra-cheap, base iPad and the overpowered iPad Pro. But that’s what makes it a solid choice for many iPad shoppers. While the base iPad is still the best option for those who just want a basic device to lounge with, the iPad Air is as much as most people need as an upgrade. If the iPad is the only computer you use or you want a device you can work on while traveling, the iPad Air is fantastic and has as much performance as you’ll likely need. That’s especially if you opt for the large 13-inch model, which gives you more screen space to work with.
My Favorite Beach Day Sunscreen Is On Sale for Prime Day
I remember when Vacation, Inc. was just Poolside FM, a web-based radio station that played the perfect summer soundtrack. The company has since expanded into luxurious summer beauty products ranging from Wild Cherry Pepsi SPF lip gel to my signature perfume that smells like fake banana, coconuts, and chlorine. Everything feels like summer in a bottle with vibes straight out of The Dive Motel or vintage Las Vegas. I’d like this giant jug of SPF 50 sunblock regardless of my deep infatuation with the company. It absorbs readily, it doesn’t leave a white cast on my skin, and it smells amazing. I’ve been keeping it by my front door so I can apply or throw it in my beach bag at a moment’s notice. It prevented sunburn on a very fresh tattoo which is the gold standard in my book. (If you’re my tattoo artist and you’re reading this, I’m sorry.)
The Pimple Patches I Stock Up on Every Prime Day
I am a skin picker, have always been a skin picker, and will probably die a skin picker, which means my skincare routine is less prevention and more damage control. That’s why I’m obsessed with Mighty Patch Micropoint for Dark Spots. While the classic hydrocolloid patches are ideal for zits that are about to pop, these are for post-blemishes. These stickers are packed with tranexamic acid to help brighten discoloration, plus niacinamide, vitamin C, and licorice root extract to support a more even skin tone. In summer especially, UV exposure darkens post-acne marks fast, and the sun has no mercy. Stock up now.
This Viral Lip Mask Always Goes On Sale, But It’s Actually Cheaper Than Ever Right Now
I write about this deal during every shopping holiday, which is how I know the best price you can usually hope to get for the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask is $17. But it’s $16 right now. Is that a massive difference in terms of money? No. Is it still a little bit thrilling to know you’re getting the best deal? Yes indeed. This mask lasted me for nearly 4 years before I realized I probably shouldn’t use a lip balm for that long. It sinks into your lips swiftly and doesn’t feel too gloopy or sticky. It’s probably too heavy for daytime use, but that has yet to stop me.
I’ll Be Having Jennifer Aniston Arms by Labor Day Thanks to These Stakt Weights
Most people know Stakt for its foldable yoga mat, but the brand’s adjustable weights are a sleeper hit. I keep a pair next to my couch and absentmindedly curl them while watching Love Island, which is the closest I’ve come to habit stacking—don’t @ me. Each weight adjusts between two, four, and six pounds, so you’re essentially getting three sets of dumbbells for the price of one. Plus, with 20 percent off, the girl math is mathing.
Three dimensions of printing below $300
If you’ve been interested in getting into 3D printing or have a child bugging you to get into it, I can highly recommend the Elegoo Centuri Carbon. I’m writing more about this printer this week, but I used it for three months this winter and found it to be super intuitive and faster than others I’ve used. It’s on sale for $300 right now, which is $60 lower than the standard price and as low as I’ve seen it.
The Loop Quiet 2 Earplugs Put Me Right to Sleep
I’ve crammed a lot of things in my ears for our Best Earplugs Buying Guide, and the Loop Quiet 2 are a standout pick for sleep. Made entirely of soft silicone, they stay comfortable even if you sleep on your side, and they completely block out sound. I tested them at one of the loudest bass music festivals in the world and slept like a baby throughout the night. You get multiple sizes of ear tips, both in silicone and in foam. I wish the carrying case weren’t so shallow, but they’re still a very worthy pick, especially at this price.
My Prime Day Fuel Is Also on Sale
Good morning! I just logged on, cracked open Crisp Apple Bloom—also on sale—and I’m ready to hunt down deals.
At this point, I’m officially a Bloom fan. I’ll take it over Celsius or Alani almost every time. The new Shirley Temple flavor is my current favorite. Who doesn’t love a Shirley Temple? And it tastes surprisingly close to the real thing, just with a little caffeine kick.
Each can has 180 mg of caffeine, which is slightly less than some of the 200 mg competitors. That’s enough to get me through a busy morning without feeling the jitters. (That said, if I end up drinking two in a day, that’s my prerogative. I’m a writer, not a doctor.)
P.S.: Bloom also recently released a Summer Splash flavor, and yes, it tastes like summer.
This Moody Floor Lamp Is Only $60 Somehow
And I’m really annoyed about it because I just paid $100 for it a few weeks ago. But my financial loss is your gain, because I’m here to testify that as far as basic lamps go, this one rules. We generally like Govee products and have previously recommended the older version of this lamp. It was easy to assemble, has a decently long cord, and has an overwhelming amount of lighting options—including AI to set lights up for you and modes that can react to ambient noise like music or movies. I wish it had a physical remote, but for $60 it’s really hard to beat. Added bonus: You won’t have to make the liveblog entry of shame admitting that you overpaid for it.
The Lifestraw is on sale as expected
LifeStraws are a perennial Prime Day favorite. These simple and cheap water filtration devices are not our first, second, or sixth favorite way to purify water in the field, but they are the cheapest one we recommend, and they’re even cheaper right now. This is a purchase you stash in your car or cupboard and hope to never need, but that you might end up being thankful you have this sesquibicentennial.
This Easy-to-Use Affordable MagSafe Wallet Stores 2 Cards Securely
Take it from someone who has used a dozen: MagSafe wallets can be pretty annoying. The concept of storing physical cards on your phone is all fun and games until you’re struggling to get them out at the cash register, dying in a puddle of shame while everyone in line looks at you. This MagSafe wallet is actually easy to use. Press your thumb into the divot at the side and it’ll slide your cards out for you. Press in again to secure them. There’s really only room for your ID and whichever payment method you want to use, but that’s really all you need. A couple of colors are on sale.
Our favorite AI notetaker is on sale
Our top pick for AI notetakers is the Comulytic Note Pro, which our reviewer raved about, especially for the price:
Of all the devices I tested, Comulytic’s summaries were the most insightful and least rambling (though better than its transcripts), effectively picking out the most relevant portions of interviews and pulling the best quotes from my conversations (perhaps too many at times). It was also the only device to correctly transcribe a punny product nickname mentioned in passing in one interview, indicating that a more sophisticated language model may be behind the scenes.
This gadget is $20 off its typical low right now and is just $109.
