Jason Miller cites Trump win as proof GOP is ‘party of the working class’ – Washington Examiner

President-elect Donald Trump’s senior adviser, Jason Miller, noted a change in the Republican Party‘s demographic, which was marked by the building up of the working class since winning Tuesday’s election.

As of Wednesday morning, Trump had garnered 277 electoral votes, with the counts still out. Three remaining states, Michigan, Arizona, and Nevada, are also leaning toward Trump. Miller predicted his boss could win as many as 312 votes during an appearance Wednesday on the Today show.

“Well, number one, take a look at what that coalition was that delivered President Trump the win. I saw a stunning statistic. This came from the NBC News exit surveys, was the fact that President Trump earned the votes of one out of every three voters of color in the United States,” Miller said. “Think about this. This isn’t the Republican Party of old. President Trump has completely re-made the Republican Party to be the party of the working class.”

So far, Trump has won the popular vote by 5 million votes.

“President Trump was in very good spirits last night obviously, after winning not just the presidency, but in a manner that was such an overwhelming landslide, winning the popular vote,” Miller added. “I think a major reason why President Trump won is because he made it clear how he’s going to improve the lives of every American — and the fact that he can do it right away.”

Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris underperformed in every county compared to President Joe Biden’s bid in 2020. Her concession is anticipated Wednesday in a national address.
