Jen Psaki Called Out for Blatant Hypocrisy After Mocking Prayer Following School Shootings — But Her Old Tweets Begging for ‘Prayers’ Have Come Back to Haunt Her

Former White House press secretary and MSNBC host Jen Psaki is facing brutal backlash after comments she made mocking Americans who turn to prayer in the wake of horrific tragedies.

Following the devastating mass shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church and School in Minneapolis on Wednesday morning, Psaki arrogantly declared:

“Prayer is not freaking enough. Prayers does not end school shootings. prayers do not make parents feel safe sending their kids to school. Prayer does not bring these kids back. Enough with the thoughts and prayers.”

The statement came just hours after a peaceful back-to-school Mass turned into a nightmare when a deranged trans gunman opened fire through the stained-glass windows of Annunciation Catholic Church and School in Minneapolis.

The shooter, 23-year-old Robert Westman, legally obtained a rifle, a shotgun, and a pistol before unleashing a brutal attack during Wednesday morning Mass. Two children, ages 8 and 10, were killed.

Seventeen others were wounded, including fourteen children and three elderly parishioners. Thankfully, authorities have confirmed all injured are expected to survive.

Westman, a former student of the school, took his own life on the scene. Authorities later uncovered a disturbing manifesto praising past mass shooters. The FBI is investigating the rampage as both a domestic terror attack and a hate crime targeting Catholics.

Psaki’s performative outrage about prayer didn’t take long to implode. Internet sleuths dug up her own history of offering “thoughts and prayers” when it was politically convenient for her.

In 2017, after Republican Congressman Steve Scalise was shot by a left-wing extremist, Psaki tweeted:

“Thoughts and prayers with @SteveScalise and officers shot. And thank you to members, hill staffers for your public service.”

In 2020, she lashed out at then–Vice President J.D. Vance, sneering, “I am sure the families of the 200k people who lost their lives appreciate your thoughts and prayers @VP.”

Americans are fed up with the hypocrisy. Faith and prayer have always been a source of strength in times of tragedy.

Jen Psaki can mock it all she wants, but millions of Americans will continue to pray for the victims, their families, and yes, even for those so lost in their arrogance that they can’t see the value of faith.
