Jill Biden ‘roasted’ over viral Christmas video: ‘Hunger Games as this year’s Christmas theme’

First lady Jill Biden’s White House Christmas video has gone viral, sparking backlash and drawing comparisons to the dystopian novel The Hunger Games.

The video featured award-winning tap dance group Dorrance Dance, who Biden said performed their “playful interpretation of The Nutcracker Suite.” However, many viewers were not amused with the clip, feeling it didn’t reflect their values.

“The chestnuts are not getting roasted but Jill Biden is for her Hunger Games Capital District Christmas approach this year,” Mollie Hemmingway, editor-in-chief of The Federalist posted on X, formerly Twitter.

Journalist Ian Miles Cheong chimed in: “Jill Biden is really going for the Hunger Games as this year’s Christmas theme. Unimaginable.”

Several critics claimed that American tax dollars were ostensibly used for the production of the controversial video.

“You paid for Jill Biden’s ‘holiday’ horror show,” Monica Crowley, former assistant secretary of the Treasury for public affairs, posted. “Work a little harder & pay your fair share, suckers!”

“You paid for Jill Biden to bring this fever dream to life,” another user posted.

Other critics took offense to the video from a religious standpoint.

Christian writer J.J. Murray wrote, “Jill Biden posted this video of a Biden WH Christmas. We paid for it. Who agrees this is Blasphemy?!”

Another X user called the video “cringey” and pointed out that the video did not include “a single reference to the birth of Christ. “

Conservative influencer Matt Wallace compared Biden’s White House Christmas video to one put out by former first lady Melania Trump, noting that Biden’s video was “featuring drag queens” while Trump’s video was “featuring Jesus.”

Biden promoted the video as “a bit of magic, wonder, and joy,” but radio host Jason Rantz noted the clip “is flopping harder than Bidenomics.” He asked, “Why would Jill Biden do this to us?”

Turning Point USA reporter Savanah Hernandez slammed the video as a “true atrocity.”

“Why does Jill Biden continue to accost this nation with her horrific decoration and ‘fashion’ sense. It’s hard to make Christmas ugly but she has somehow found the one subpar dance crew with the ugliest costumes in America & done it,” she said.
