Joe Biden Props Baby on His Lap During Visit to Children’s National Hospital (VIDEO)

Joe and Jill Biden made a pre-Christmas visit to patients at Children’s National Hospital in DC on Friday.

The Bidens have made a trip to this hospital every Christmas during their time in the White House.

“Keep the hope,” Biden said to the patients and families. “You’re in our prayers, you’re in our thoughts, and thank you for letting us join you.”

Biden just couldn’t help himself. He just had to grab a baby and prop him on his lap while Jill Biden read, “Twas the Night Before Christmas.”

The baby immediately jumped off of Biden’s lap and toddled away.

Biden had the look of disappointment on his face as the toddler got away.

Joe Biden was distracted the entire time Jill Biden read the Christmas story to the children.

Biden played catch with one of the toddlers and as a peeved Jill Biden read to the patients.
