JOHN KACHELMAN, JR.: God’s Wisdom in National Governing

God’s Wisdom in national governing
Guest post by John Kachelman, Jr.
The Holy Bible is “all-sufficient” in prescribing common-sense guidelines. Inspiration’s guardrails keep a nation strong, secure, and successful. Tragically, man is duped by the Devil, thinking mortal wisdom is superior to Inspiration’s wisdom. This devilish hubris has been responsible for the deterioration and erasure of many nations in man’s civilization.
In today’s daily Bible reading I came across a statement illustrating this point. Deuteronomy 17:15, “You may not put a foreigner over yourselves who is not your countryman.” Why? Because “you shall not learn to imitate the detestable things of those nations” (Deuteronomy 18:9).
The foreigner comes with the abominations of his country. The alien brings a determined resolve NOT to assimilate into the culture’s dress, religion, mores, and ethics. The inevitable consequence is that the “foreigner over” the citizenry, corrupts, disregards, and replaces the nation’s Rule of Law.
Tragically, this is a constant consequence in civilization. Voices tell us to be “more accepting,” “more tolerant,” “appreciate the differences,” “expand one’s sensitivities,” and lessen the impact of the nation’s laws. These are committing what Holy Scripture identifies as an “abomination.”
This is a true conclusion, but is shunned and condemned in our society. Political voices ignorantly say it is “unconstitutional.” Hollywood’s lunatics clamor for acceptance of evil. And the MSM paints the “foreigner” with obvious bias and the Constitutional patriot as the vilest villain. “Abomination” aptly describes this action!
When a nation erases Jehovah God, the LORD of heaven and earth and His regulations, by displacing, minimizing, or regulating Jehovah God, the LORD of heaven and earth to “equal” among all other “gods,” the nation is doomed.
A sobering look—consider the “foreigner over” congressional seats and appointments, judicial bars, university schools, etc. that refuse to assimilate into our nation and follow the Constitutional Rule of Law. And…there seems to be little concern of this development…and so is issued the unavoidable appointment for a nation—“Prepare to meet your God!” (Amos 4:12). NOTE: It is not only the “elected” that are held accountable but also the individual citizen!
Just my thoughts from today’s daily Bible reading…
