A Philadelphia judge allowed Elon Musk to continue his daily million-dollar giveaway to voters who sign his swing-state petition through Tuesday’s presidential election.
Common Pleas Court Judge Angelo Foglietta did not explain his reasoning for the ruling, but it comes after Musk’s lawyers said the winners are paid spokespeople and are not chosen randomly.
Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krassner called the initiative a scam “designed to actually influence a national election” and wanted it shut down.

One of Musk’s lawyers, Chris Gober, said Musk’s team already knows who the next two prize winners are and that they are in Arizona and Michigan. However, it is unclear how the winners are actually chosen.
“The $1 million recipients are not chosen by chance,” Gober said Monday. “We know exactly who will be announced as the $1 million recipient today and tomorrow.”
