JUST IN: Chicago Shootings After Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony Leave 8 Injured and One 14 Year Old Dead, Lawmaker Says 300 Juviniles were Rioting in Teen Takover – Trump Responds! (VIDEO)
Nine people were shot, one fatally, during a “teen takeover” in Chicago, where hundreds of juveniles rioted through the streets, after the city’s Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Friday night.
In one shooting, seven victims, who are reportedly all in stable condition, were teens between the ages of 13 and 17 years old. In a second shooting just blocks away and less than an hour later, a 14-year-old boy was murdered, and an 18-year-old man was shot in the leg and transported to the hospital.
These occurred just a couple of hours after the official Christmas tree ceremony, attended by thousands of Chicagoans, at Millennium Park.
Chicago’s 2nd Ward Alderman, Brian Hopkins, shared on X that 300 juveniles were rioting and attacking police amid the shootings close to midnight:

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson delivered meaningless remarks about the incident during a press conference on Saturday morning, where he blamed guns for the violence.
Johnson described the gathering as an “unsanctioned after-gathering” that was advertised on social media.
Five guns were recovered, he said.
He further lambasted the federal government, claiming that the city of Chicago has done “positive work” to “bring violence down.”

This comes as National Guard troops reportedly prepare to leave Chicago after a a federal appeals court blocked the Trump Administration’s troop deployment to Chicago. The Supreme Court is still weighing a decision on Trump’s appeal.
President Trump responded to the riot, slamming Illinois Governor JB Pritzker and “Low IQ” Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, while highlighting their refusal to accept his help in reducing crime and doubling down on his calls for federal intervention:

As The Gateway Pundit reported, gunfire also broke out during the Concord, North Carolina Christmas tree lighting ceremony, and three teens were charged in the incident.
