Kristi Noem releasing book, No Going Back, to address state of US government – Washington Examiner

Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SD) is getting ready for the release of her latest book.

No Going Back details how she says the Republican Party cannot go back to the party it once was in the 2000s and how the GOP can navigate the future of the United States going forward. The book’s description is likely a nod to how some Republicans have called to move on from the influence of former President Donald Trump, who has had a major influence on the party since the mid-2010s.

“Perhaps the most significant takeaway so far is that more freedom, not more government, is the answer,” Noem said in a video of her recording the audio version of her book. “While freedom alone won’t solve all of our problems, it does present a better path toward where we want to go. Freedom is a better friend of true science than government-centered and government-controlled science.”

Trump himself has given his endorsement for the book, calling it “a winner” and praising it for laying out a fantastic plan to make America great again. James Golden, the former right-hand man to the late Rush Limbaugh, has also described the book as “eye-opening.”

Noem has made a name for herself as a conservative governor and vocal Trump supporter, with some speculating that she could be Trump’s vice presidential candidate for the 2024 presidential election. At last month’s 2024 Conservative Political Action Conference, she said she was confident she could help Trump win the presidency if she were selected as his vice presidential candidate.

Lately, the governor has been criticized by some for her promotion of a dentist in Texas, along with a custom insole company and a coffee shop in her state.
