Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) slammed Vice President Kamala Harris on Monday for posting a gun control message on social media.

“Weapons of war have no place on the streets of a civil society. We need an assault weapons ban. Congress, send it to @JoeBiden’s desk,” Harris said on social media.

Greene shot back, “America needs a ban on communist politicians like you.”

Shame on you for trying to destroy Americans’ right to defend ourselves while your policies have caused skyrocketing crime and our country to be invaded by criminals, gangs, and terrorists. https://t.co/yitClS1c6z

“Shame on you for trying to destroy Americans’ right to defend ourselves while your policies have caused skyrocketing crime and our country to be invaded by criminals, gangs, and terrorists,” the Georgia congresswoman added.

Texas Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) responded to the vice president, telling her to “pound sand” and to hashtag “#SecureTheBorder.”

“Few people in this world repulse me like Kamala Harris who will say and do anything to achieve power she is too stupid to understand or wield,” Andrew Pollack, father of Parkland victim Meadow Pollack, said.

“Right. So that’s why we’re spending billions of American taxpayer funds to arm civilians in Israel and Ukraine?” Gun Owners of America said on its social media account.

Last month, the Biden administration created a new office for gun violence prevention, which will be run by Greg Jackson, the executive director of the Community Justice Action Fund, and Rob Wilcox, the senior director for federal government affairs at Everytown for Gun Safety.

President Joe Biden ramped up his gun control rhetoric during a Saturday night speech at the 2023 Human Rights Campaign National Dinner.

“We have to fully implement the most significant gun safety law in nearly 30 years and then pass again the assault weapons ban,” Biden said at the dinner.

He added, “Who in God’s name needs a weapon with 100 rounds in a chamber? The weapon was only meant for one thing: to kill people. We did it before. We can do it again. As long as I’m in office, I’m not going to stop until we get it done again.”

The Supreme Court ruled on Monday in favor of the Biden administration to allow them to continue to regulate untraceable homemade weapons, commonly referred to as ghost guns, as firearms under federal law.
