Michael Cohen: Trump’s biggest fear is to ‘lose all of his money’

Michael Cohen, claimed former President Donald Trump’s biggest fear is losing “all of his money.”

While discussing Trump’s upcoming fraud trial with MSNBC host Jen Psaki on Sunday, Cohen, who once served as an attorney for Trump, described it as a “deathblow” to the former president and a “financial catastrophe.”

“I can tell you, this has always been his biggest fear, that he would lose money — that he would lose all of his money — and he would no longer be considered the mega-billionare that he tried to portray himself as,” Cohen said.

Cohen was also asked how Trump would handle the public’s perception of the trial, to which he said “not well.” He expressed doubt in Trump showing up in person for it, saying there is “less than a 20% chance” he will attend the trial.

“What is he showing up for?” Cohen said. “To sit there and to watch? He’s not being called tomorrow.”

However, Trump is expected to attend the opening of his trial on Monday, according to multiple reports. He is expected to return to the courthouse toward the end of the case when court records show he will be called as a witness, according to ABC News.

The trial is one of several legal troubles that Trump faces ahead of the 2024 presidential election, as he is running for a second term after leaving the White House in 2021. President Joe Biden announced he is seeking reelection earlier this year, setting a potential rematch between him and the former president.
