Mitch McConnell Rushed to Hospital

Senator Mitch McConnell was hospitalized on Sunday morning, according to his spokesperson.

The 84-year-old Kentucky Senator is “receiving excellent care” the spokesman said.

It is unclear why McConnell was admitted to the hospital.

This is the second time McConnell has been hospitalized in the last couple months.

Earlier this year McConnell was hospitalized with flu-like symptoms.

“In an abundance of caution, after experiencing flu-like symptoms over the weekend, Senator McConnell checked himself into a local hospital for evaluation last night,” a spokesperson for McConnell said on Monday afternoon.

His prognosis is positive and he is grateful for the excellent care he is receiving. He is in regular contact with his staff and looks forward to returning to Senate business,” the spokesperson added.
