A morning show in the United Kingdom has come under scrutiny after it announced it would begin its Christmas festivities on Wednesday, the first day after Halloween.
The hosts of This Morning on ITV1, Rylan Clark and Josie Gibson, said they were starting to celebrate Christmas on the show, with several viewers criticizing the anchors’ choice. It comes only a day after the show decorated its entire set for Halloween on Tuesday.

“It is the first of November, which means the countdown to Christmas is officially on. I am ready for this,” Clark said.
Viewers noted online that Halloween has just ended and that people should wait a few days before people “start bleating about Christmas.”

Despite this, Mariah Carey, known for her song “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” has already kickstarted her celebration of Christmas, posting on social media a photo of her being unleashed from a safe on Nov. 1. Her video was discussed on CBS Mornings, in which the hosts said they are “not ready” to celebrate Christmas.
Carey announced last month that she is doing a Christmas music tour this year, which will start on Nov. 15 and end on Dec. 17.
The tour will visit several states, including California, Colorado, and Massachusetts, along with a visit to Montreal in Quebec, Canada.
