MTG says Democrats could try to replace Biden with Michelle Obama

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) speculated that the Democratic Party might be planning to replace President Joe Biden with former first lady Michelle Obama.

The Georgia Republican said in a Tuesday interview with Benny Johnson on The Benny Show that Biden’s “faculties” have been failing and that one person who may be tasked with taking over for the octogenarian president could be someone like Obama.

“She owns Joe Biden’s policies. She owns the Biden administration. She owns the failure. She owns the Green New Deal. She owns the inflation. She owns the wide-open border,” Greene said of the former first lady.

Greene warned that if Obama does replace Biden, “everything we’ve seen for the past few years under Joe Biden’s presidency will be far worse.”

“That’s exactly what they want. That has been the plan the entire time,” she said.

The Republican firebrand told Republican voters that if Obama does replace Biden on the 2024 Democratic ticket, they must “tie Michelle Obama to every single thing the Biden administration has done because it is the Obamas’ third administration.”

Greene claimed she has heard “very bad rumors” about Biden and his well-being and gave examples of when his “faculties” have allegedly failed him. She said this is one reason why the Democrats may be looking to replace Biden.

The interview came one day after Obama said she was “terrified” about the results of the 2024 presidential election, as former President Donald Trump is polling stronger than ever.

“Our leaders matter. Who we select, who speaks for us, who holds that bully pulpit — it affects us in ways that sometimes I think people take for granted,” Obama said on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast.
