NEW: Emmanuel Haro’s Father Admits to Killing His ‘Missing’ 7-Month-Old Baby and Discarding Body in Trash Can

Rebecca and Jake Haro, parents of baby Emmanuel Haro, were arrested last week after a suspicious story surrounding the alleged kidnapping of their child.

A San Bernardino, California, mother who claimed her baby was kidnapped in front of a Big 5 Sporting Goods in Yucaipa a couple weeks ago raised suspicion due to inconsistencies in her initial statement.

The mother, Rebecca Haro, told police that she was physically attacked outside of Big 5 and during the assault, her 7-month-old son, Emmanuel Haro was abducted.

“I got him out of the car seat, and I laid him down so I can get his diaper ready,” Rebecca Haro said. “All I remember, I saw white… I fell on the floor, and as soon as I got up, I couldn’t find my son. I checked all around my truck and I ran into Big 5, and I asked the lady if she saw a baby or someone with a baby. She said no. He’s a happy boy,” Rebecca Haro said, according to ABC 7.

“He was a healthy baby, he was crawling, he was kicking, he was playing with his toys. Whoever took our son, please give him back,” the baby’s father, Jake Haro, told ABC7.

Emmanuel Haro’s parents were arrested on Friday morning and are facing murder charges.

Now it is being reported that Jake Haro admitted to killing his baby and discarding him in a trash can.

Authorities are still searching for baby Emmanuel’s body.

The New York Post reported:

Emmanuel Haro’s father admitting to killing the 7-month-old and then dumping his body in a trash can, according to a new report — as authorities say the baby died after enduring lengthy abuse by his parents.

Investigators used an undercover inmate to goad Jake Haro into admitting to the grisly crime, NewsNation’s Brian Entin reported, citing sources.

Meanwhile, authorities said they can prove Emmanuel died after a long period of physical abuse at the hands of Haro and his wife Rebecca, who live in Riverside County, California.

“We believe baby Emmanuel was subject to abuse over time, and because of that abuse, he succumbed to his injuries,” Riverside County District Attorney Michael Hestrin told reporters Wednesday.

“We have a pretty strong indication of where the remains of baby Emmanuel are,” he added.
