Nic Kerdiles, Former Anaheim Ducks Forward, Dies In Motorcycle Crash

Nic Kerdiles, a former forward for the Anaheim Ducks, died in a motorcycle crash in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday morning. He was 29 years old.

Nic was a native of Irvine, California and the first player from Orange County to play for the team in 2017. The accident happened around 3:30 am when Nic had run a stop sign on his motorcycle and hit a BMW. The incident happened in a residential area. He was transported to a nearby hospital and passed away.

Nic Kerdiles, a former Anaheim Ducks forward, has died at 29 after he was involved in a motorcycle crash in Nashville, Tennessee.

The news was shared by the Ducks on X, formerly known as Twitter, early Saturday.

Kerdiles played in three games for the Ducks between 2016 and 2018, becoming the first player from Orange County to play for the team.

Nashville police reported that he was killed at around 3:30 a.m. after running through a stop sign in a residential area while riding his Indian motorcycle, when he slammed into the driver’s side of a BMW driving through the area.

“We’re heartbroken to hear the news about Nic Kerdiles, who died in a motorcycle accident this morning,” the Ducks statement said. “An Irvine native, Nic became the first player from Orange County to play for the Ducks, in 2017.”

Kerdiles was selected with the 36th overall selection in the second round of the 2012 NHL Draft by the Ducks.

According to the New York Post, Kerdiles was once engaged to reality star Savannah Chrisley.

Just hours before his death, Kerdiles posted an eerie Instagram story of himself riding his motorcycle with a caption that caption that read: “Night rider.”

Kerdiles gained popularity on the USA reality television series “Chrisley Knows Best” while dating Todd and Julie Chrisley’s second daughter, Savannah Chrisley.

The pair started dating in 2017 and got engaged in December 2019. However, they called off the engagement in September 2020 in a heartfelt Instagram post.
