The National Republican Congressional Committee announced a record-breaking fundraising haul on Friday, marking the committee’s best presidential cycle off-year during the third quarter and the highest September numbers during a presidential cycle off-year.
The NRCC raised $9.3 million in September and brought in a total of $18.5 million for the third fundraising quarter of this year, a historic high for the committee.

The latest numbers show a sharp increase from August fundraising, when the NRCC reported $3.8 million, marking the lowest-performing month this year and second-lowest monthly fundraising total among the last two election cycles.
House Republicans in competitive districts have been dominating their Democratic counterparts in terms of funding for the 2024 race, according to recent filings with the Federal Election Commission. Analysis across multiple platforms, including Politico, Axios, and Roll Call, indicates among the Republicans whose House seats are seen as toss-ups, GOP candidates have more cash on hand than their Democratic opponents.
Fundraising so far indicates a cash threat for Democrats who are working to win back districts that President Joe Biden held but Republicans won in 2022. House Republicans are holding one of the smallest majorities in U.S. history, having a mere nine-vote edge on Democrats, 221 to 212 — with two vacancies, one previously held by each party.
“Democrats made life more expensive and dangerous for everyday Americans — they are completely fed up with these policies and they are desperate for relief,” NRCC Chairman Richard Hudson said in a press release. “The NRCC is capitalizing on this enthusiasm, sprinting to the on-year with record-breaking fundraising to grow our House majority.”

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee released its numbers on Friday, outraising its Republican counterpart by $2 million in September. The DCCC announced an $11 million haul in September and ended the third quarter with $44 million cash on hand. In comparison, the NRCC had $36.1 million cash on hand.
“House Republicans continue to demonstrate that they are utterly incapable of governing responsibly and delivering for the American people. While the House is paralyzed due to Republican dysfunction, voters are seeing how unserious Republicans are and they are eager for a change,” DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene said in a press release.
