Retton’s fundraising page raised more than $459,304 of its $50,000 goal as of Monday.

Her daughters shared updates on the fundraising page of their mother’s condition, in addition to asking for prayers and financial assistance to help with the cost of hospitalization.

In an Instagram video, her eldest daughter, Shayla Kelley Schrepfer, shared that she and her sisters were “overwhelmed” and said that she “didn’t even realize that there’s so many people out there that love her just as much as we do, and it’s been a really hard time for our family.”

Schrepfer continued, “And so just seeing that people love her like that, showing her that support has just meant the world to us and to her, so thank you.”
