Former Trump-era trade czar Peter Navarro, headed to prison next week on two controversial Jan. 6 contempt of Congress charges, is set to release a new book detailing former President Donald Trump’s plans for a second term in the White House.

Titled The New MAGA Deal, the book will reveal policies Trump is likely to put into place if he returns to the Oval Office, Navarro’s publisher told Secrets.

“In The New MAGA Deal, by Dr. Peter Navarro, readers are invited to explore the future policies and bold initiatives of President Donald J. Trump as he charts a course for a second term in the White House,” Winning Team Publishing said.

“With a keen focus on revitalizing American greatness, this unofficial guidebook is curated from some of the leading policy voices that could have an influence on President Donald Trump’s second term,” added the firm, headed by Donald Trump Jr. and longtime adviser Sergio Gor.

In a statement to Secrets, Donald Trump Jr. said, “Peter Navarro has served our nation at the highest levels of government. In his new book, The New MAGA Deal, Peter brings together some of the premier experts in restoring our nation to greatness. We are thrilled to be publishing this important book, and hope readers will get a copy.”

Some of the Trump team featured include former Trump aide Steve Bannon, former Trump intelligence czar Ric Grenell, former Interior Secretary David Bernhardt, and former budget chief Russ Vought. 

Navarro is soon heading to prison for refusing to comply with the House Jan. 6 inquisition. He was held in contempt, and a judge appointed by former President Barack Obama ordered him to jail. He is appealing the conviction but recently revealed he will go to jail next week.

The new book is due out July 16.

In a statement, the former president praised the book and said Navarro was treated badly by the judge and prosecutors.

“Peter Navarro had strong views on protecting our economy against the assault from foreign countries all over the world. He was an absolute master at not allowing the U.S. to get ‘ripped off’ by this onslaught. Peter did his job well, he did it faithfully, and he loved our country,” Trump said.

The former president added, “His book should be studied, and what he says should be highly respected. Peter Navarro is a patriot who has been treated very badly, but he continues forward. In the end there will be victory!”
