Police Say Motorist Beat Elderly Man To Death In Road Rage Incident

A Queens, New York man has succumbed to his injuries following a Thursday violent road rage incident, FOX 5 NY reported Monday.

Jasmer Singh, 66, got into an altercation after a collision between two vehicles on the Van Wyck Expressway. When Singh attempted to involve the police in the dispute, the motorist of the other car reportedly became agitated and assaulted him. Singh was critically injured during the physical confrontation and later transferred to Jamaica Hospital, where he died the following day. according to FOX 5 NY.

The suspect, Gilbert Augustin, 30, also from Queens, was apprehended on Friday afternoon and has been charged with manslaughter, assault, aggravated unlicensed operator and leaving the scene of an accident, the outlet noted.
