Prince William issues latest on wife’s health since cancer announcement – Washington Examiner

Prince William offered an update on his wife Kate Middleton‘s condition in lieu of her absence at a D-Day event Wednesday.

Kate announced in March she was undergoing chemotherapy. William was greeting World War II veterans when one man, who was involved in the storm on France’s Normandy beaches 80 years ago, asked about Kate.

The man asked from a wheelchair, “I was going to ask you if your wife was getting any better?”

“Yes,” William responded. “She would’ve loved to be here today.”

It remains to be seen what type of cancer doctors diagnosed Kate with. Her diagnosis came after that of King Charles III, who was also diagnosed with cancer in February.

Thursday was the celebration of the start of the Allies strategy to take back France from German occupation. The offensive began with some 160,000 troops from the United States, Britain, and ten other countries arriving on Normandy’s beaches by air and sea.

William visited the historic Omaha beach Thursday while his father King Charles III visited the British Normandy Memorial at Ver-sur-Mer alongside his wife Camilla and French President Emmanuel Macron. This marked Charles’s first international trip since his cancer diagnosis.
