Former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy all but guaranteed a Donald Trump victory next month, saying he was not surprised President Joe Biden suggested voters “politically lock” up the Republican Party nominee.
Biden’s comments at the Democratic Party’s headquarters in Concord, New Hampshire come two weeks before Trump will face off against Vice President Kamala Harris in the polls. Ramaswamy pointed out that the comments also come after dozens of felony charges were filed against Trump by prosecutors across the nation.
“The reality is, on the other hand, if you take him seriously at his word, it’s not surprising that he’s saying this. After all, he is — people forget this — nominally the U.S. president right now that oversees the Justice Department that is pursuing multiple criminal prosecutions or has tried to against Donald Trump,” Ramaswamy said on Fox News’s The Ingraham Angle Tuesday. “So the idea that he would finally say, ‘lock him up’ after all that’s what the Justice Department works for Biden has actually been trying to do for the last year and a half, it all kind of makes sense on multiple different levels.”
Despite his brief campaign against Trump for the presidential office, Ramaswamy has since endorsed Trump. He predicted that Trump would win in a “landslide.”

“I think we could have a unifying landslide that is within reach. I think that would be really therapeutic for the country,” Ramaswamy said. “Biden’s just making it easier by the day.”
Trump has pleaded not guilty to every charge he’s faced since announcing his reelection campaign in November 2022. A Supreme Court ruling granting Trump some presidential immunity has put some of the cases against him in jeopardy.
