Ransom Demand Amount For Nancy Guthrie Revealed

Nancy Guthrie’s abductor(s) are reportedly demanding $6 million in exchange for her release, according to Tucson ABC affiliate KGUN9.

The news outlet local to Guthrie’s home revealed the staggering dollar value of the ransom note sent to their organization in a report published Feb. 8. The payment was demanded in Bitcoin. “Multiple ransom notes have been sent out to the media, including one that was sent to us,” said JJ McKinney of KGUN9, as reported by The New York Post.

“In the letter, the potential kidnappers demanded that the Guthries pay them $6 million before this Monday.”

The 5 p.m. deadline for Feb. 9 included a threat that Guthrie’s life will be in peril if the demands are not met.

Police were seen investigating the homes of Nancy Guthrie and her daughter Annie Guthrie on Feb. 7.

Annie Guthrie and Savannah Guthrie and their brother Camron Guthrie issued a video statement to Instagram Saturday pleading with their mother’s captors to return her to them.

“We received your message, and we understand,” Savannah said in the short video clip.

“We beg you now to return our mother to us, so that we can celebrate with her,” she said.

“This is the only way we can have peace.”

“This is very valuable to us, and we will pay,” Guthrie said. (RELATED: Savannah Guthrie Confirms She’s Willing To Pay Ransom For Nancy Guthrie’s Return)
