Comedian Ricky Gervais appeared in an ad for his recently acquired hard liquor business Thursday.

Gervais posted a video to X, formerly known as Twitter, to announce he’d become a co-owner of Dutch Barn Vodka because the brand is “committed to sustainability and the protection of the ecosystem.” He encouraged his followers to buy the U.K.-based liquor, which he promised will soon be available in the United States.

“Sure, like all strong liquor, it may damage your liver and your well-being, but think how happy it will make me,” Gervais says in the ad. “And the saving the planet thing.”

Dutch Barn Vodka grows its own apples at its orchard in North Yorkshire, which go into making the vodka. According to its website, it also contributes to reforestation projects with its revenue. The brown bottle is made out of 60% recycled glass.

“I’d been looking to invest in eco-friendly businesses for a while and as soon as I found Dutch Barn — I wanted in!” Gervais is quoted on the website. “I love the planet and I love a drink so it was the perfect combination.”
