Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said it is time to unite around former President Donald Trump following former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley’s loss in New Hampshire Tuesday.
“I’m looking at the map and the path going forward, and I don’t see it for Nikki Haley,” she said on Fox News.
McDaniel remarked that Haley “ran a great campaign,” but with only 10 months until the general election it’s time to coalesce behind the eventual nominee, “which is going to be Donald Trump.”
Haley’s campaign did not provide comment to the Washington Examiner.
Despite her New Hampshire loss, Haley has vowed to continue, turning her focus to her home state of South Carolina. Her campaign tried to shake off Tuesday’s loss with an announcement Wednesday it was releasing two new ads, costing an initial $4 million.

“Nikki Haley took on the political elites when she ran for governor of South Carolina, and she’s ready to do the same thing again,” campaign spokeswoman Olivia Perez-Cubas said in a statement. “South Carolina voters elected Nikki twice thanks to her conservative record of creating jobs, cutting taxes, and combating illegal immigration. They know that Nikki will always fight for them — not the D.C. establishment.”
While she has committed her time and attention going forward to South Carolina, Haley won’t be in contention for any delegates in the next nominating contest, which will take place in Nevada on Feb. 8. Trump and Ryan Binkley are the only two candidates still in the race who filed for the state’s Republican caucuses, while Haley filed for the state-run primary, which will not have any bearing on delegate distribution.
