The left has increased the timeline for the Islamic takeover of the U.S. with their unwavering support of Hamas, and now a Detroit-area city has granted religious freedom that Christians are rarely afforded.
One of the core liberties that the U.S. was founded on is the freedom to practice your faith. So it’s difficult to argue that U.S. District Judge David Lawson was wrong to dismiss a lawsuit against Muslims in Hamtramck, Michigan, trying to ban LGBTQ+ flags from publicly owned flagpoles. However, it does expose the left to an unfortunate reality that Christians have been dealing with for decades: there’s a two-tiered system in the U.S. for protected rights based on who you are.

If a majority-Christian city council passed a law banning pride flags on public flagpoles, it’s hard to believe that a judge would have ruled in the same way. Christians have been second-class citizens in the U.S. for decades. We are mocked and arrested for our beliefs. Our churches get attacked. A typical response from conservatives when we see the left parading down the street in defense of Islam or Palestine is something along the lines of: “Try being gay in Palestine, and see how far the fall from the building is.” They ignored our warnings, but now that pride flags are banned in Hamtramck because the all-Muslim city council said they clashed with the beliefs of some members of their faith, I wonder if they will finally listen.
What’s even crazier about this is that more than 40 percent of Hamtramck’s 27,000 residents were born outside of the U.S., according to ABC News. They aren’t native-born citizens, and yet, because of mass migration, they have taken over an entire city.
And this isn’t the only instance of this happening.
A Houston imam, Imam F. Qasim ibn Ali Khan, launched “Sharia patrols” at Muslim-owned stores, warning the owners that they have 30 days to stop selling alcohol, pork, and other products that Islamic law considers “haraam.” If they don’t, then their stores will face protests.
While Texas banned Sharia Law from being instituted in the state, the Houston-area muslims don’t seem to be worried.

Dearborn, Michigan, has almost a majority-Muslim population, with about 40,000 of its 110,000 being Muslim. These residents have been able to effect significant changes to the city, including the placement of Arabic on official police uniforms. Dearborn hosts the largest mosque in North America (Islamic Center of America) and has the highest concentration of Arab Americans in the U.S. The city elected its first Muslim mayor in 2022.
While there is a push to remove Christian slogans like “In God We Trust” from official government property and documents, Muslims are seemingly given free rein to create the city policies that ensure their religion is protected.
It’s not hard to see how this will impact our society. One has to look at the destruction of other Western countries like the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. There are entire areas in these countries that have become no-go zones for their native Christian population.
There are rape gangs targeting young English girls, and the UK government has been responsible for running cover for these violent extremists. When U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer was head of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) in 2009, the agency dropped charges against a Pakistani grooming and rape gang in Rochdale. The CPS claimed the teenage victim wouldn’t have made a credible witness, despite the government having DNA and video evidence of the crimes, according to a BBC report.
Additionally, Starmer avoided an inquiry by the town of Oldham over his handling of the prosecution of a migrant grooming gang accused of sexually abusing children in the town from 2011 to 2014, thanks to Jess Phillips, the Home Office Minister for Safeguarding and Violence Against Women and Girls and a Labour Party member, The Telegraph reported.

This is our future if we don’t stop it.
The left has marched in lockstep with the Islamic takeover of the West because it claims that Muslims are part of its protected class. But what they need to realize is that as soon as these groups garner enough power in our country, their causes, like LGBT, will be the first on the chopping block. Christians have long warned about the slippery slope of left-wing ideology. We don’t want pride flags being flown on taxpayer-funded flagpoles. But we also understand that this country has a two-tiered system that demonizes our faith while promoting harmful ideologies that ruin the fabric of our American identity.
The news out of Hamtramck isn’t a welcome sight. It’s the first shot in what will be our next culture war.
