Rudy Giuliani blasted again for conduct outside court

Rudy Giuliani has been blasted in court again for making disparaging remarks about the plaintiffs’ counsel in his defamation trial.

Federal Judge Beryl Howell admonished Giuliani, former President Donald Trump‘s onetime attorney, on Wednesday for making comments following Tuesday’s court hearing, saying it violated a court stipulation.

SUPREME COURT TO HEAR CASE THAT COULD REVERSE JAN. 6 CHARGES AGAINST HUNDREDS, INCLUDING TRUMP

“I thought I could make comments about counsel,” Giuliani said, adding, “I will not do it in the future.”

Howell warned, “There’s a lot of accidents going on here, Mr. Giuliani.”

Following Tuesday’s court proceedings, Giuliani referred to the case against him as a “political hit job” to reporters outside the Washington, D.C., courtroom. He took it further later that evening, disparaging the plaintiffs during a livestream shared on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“They’re seeking $40 million. Oh, yeah. They’re seeking $40 million for the damage that I allegedly did to them. One of them did testify that she has no money. They do have an endless number of lawyers in the courtroom, however, for people that don’t have any money,” Giuliani said.

He then rattled off how many lawyers the plaintiffs had at their table in the courtroom.

“That’s a lot of lawyers to be paying,” he added.

Giuliani has already been taken to task by Howell for making comments about plaintiffs Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss. Giuliani told ABC News that he stood by his false statements about the Georgia mother and daughter.

“Everything I said about them is true,” said Giuliani, who is also facing disbarment. He added that the women “were engaged in changing votes.”

Giuliani, acting on behalf of Trump, claimed the election workers committed fraud while counting ballots in Fulton County during the 2020 presidential election. His accusations were debunked almost immediately yet were repeated by Giuliani for months.

He has already been found guilty of defaming the duo. The court proceedings taking place in Washington will determine how much money he will have to fork over for his comments.

Earlier Wednesday, Ashlee Humphreys, a professor from Northwestern University who testified as an expert witness on behalf of Freeman and Moss, told jurors that the defamatory claims Giuliani made about the plaintiffs had a “significant, negative, and long-lasting impact on the reputations of Ms. Freeman and Ms. Moss.”

Giuliani’s attorney said he would be taking the stand, something that could take place as early as Wednesday afternoon.
