Sarah Bedford claims White House sees Bidenomics as a ‘rhetorical problem’

The Washington Examiner’s Sarah Bedford explained an attempted strategy of President Joe Biden during his reelection bid Thursday in an interview on Fox News.

Bedford appeared on The Ingraham Angle to criticize the Biden administration’s take on “Bidenomics” amid a presidential term that saw gas prices skyrocket and inflation at a 40-year high.

“The Biden administration has treated Bidenomics, their economic policy, as a rhetorical problem. If they just found the right set of talking points to explain it to people, then they could win people over,” Bedford said in explaining the possible thinking of the administration.

Host Laura Ingraham agreed, saying, “People see what they see with their own eyes.” She also suggested that none of Biden’s messaging “has landed.”

Bedford went on to suggest that some elite members of the Democratic Party do not see the flaw in the Bidenomics messaging because they are not affected by Bidenomics like the working class is.

“I think the upper echelons of the Democratic Party are now controlled by what could be referred to as ‘luxury beliefs.’ They have the luxury of believing that
Confederate statues are the greatest threat to America and climate change too,” Bedford went on. “Because the high prices and the cost of living doesn’t affect them as much because they live in these elite bubbles.”

The White House cited the effects of Bidenomics in its end-of-year memo this week. While Biden inherited the country amid a pandemic, the memo claimed he “delivered the strongest recovery in the developed world.”

Biden faces opposition for his party’s nomination in 2024 despite being the incumbent. Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN), news anchor Cenk Uyghur, and author Marianne Williamson are all vying for the Democratic presidential nomination.
