Speaker Johnson uses the Bible to shred ignorant reporter

Speaker Mike Johnson dismantled a reporter’s attempt to challenge his stance on gender by invoking both scripture and science. When the reporter demanded where in the Bible it says there are only two genders, Johnson coolly responded that it’s literally in the first book—Genesis—where God created man and woman.

Unapologetically, Johnson added, “I’m a Bible-believing Christian, and whether you accept that or not, it’s also nature and biology—and biology is not bigotry.”

Johnson defended legislation aimed at protecting women and girls, slamming critics as “ill-informed” and emphasizing the clarity of the measure’s purpose. The reporter’s misguided question only served to highlight the strength of Johnson’s principled stance.
