The filmmakers behind Jesus Revolution will release several inspirational and faith-based films in 2024.

Five films are slated for release by Kingdom Story Company and Lionsgate, beginning with Ordinary Angels in February.

VACCINATION RATES LOW DESPITE ‘TRIPLEDEMIC’ WARNINGS

Ordinary Angels will feature two-time Academy Award winner Hilary Swank and Reacher star Alan Ritchson and explores the story of a struggling hairdresser in small-town Kentucky who sets out to help a widower as he pursues a liver transplant for his youngest daughter amid a devastating snowstorm.

Producer Kevin Downes previously told the Washington Examiner that he hopes the film inspires people to “not just talk about how we can love our neighbor but actually show how we can love our neighbor in ways that put others in front.”

“I’m hoping that this kind of gives an example of what one community did in the face of extraordinary circumstances and how they rallied together and lifted each other up,” Downes said. “We could use a lot more of that, I think, in our society and our communities and neighborhoods.”

“I was drawn to this beautiful true story because it’s such a powerful reminder that angels reside everywhere among us and that faith, hope, grit, and positivity are all powerful fuel for miracles,” Swank told the Washington Examiner in a statement.

Ordinary Angels was originally slated to be released on Oct. 13, but Lionsgate and Kingdom Story Company told the Washington Examiner that due to the Taylor Swift: Eras Tour concert film opening nationwide on that same date, the release date was pushed back.

The filmmakers also plan to release Unsung Hero, a film detailing the true story behind the Grammy Award-winning family for Christian artists King + Country and Rebecca St. James. Unsung Hero is set to be released in April.

White Bird, a film based on the book sharing the same title written by bestselling author R.J. Palacio, will set out to show how an act of kindness can have an enduring impact. Palacio is also the author of the renowned book Wonder, which was also turned into a film. White Bird, which will star Helen Mirren and Gillian Anderson, will be released in October.

Chosen series creator Dallas Jenkins is also working with Kingdom Story Company and Lionsgate to create The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, a film that will be based on the timeless and bestselling holiday novel. The film will star Judy Greer and Pete Holmes. A release date has yet to be announced.

The filmmakers also announced the release of The Unbreakable Boy, a film based on the true story of a young boy with autism and a rare bone disease who inspires his community with his joyous spirit. A specific date for its release has not yet been determined.

These films follow the success of Jesus Revolution, which shocked the box office, earning more than $53 million worldwide in 2023.
