Charlamagne tha God called out President Joe Biden’s lack of leadership after endorsing the top Democrat and Vice President Kamala Harris in 2020.
When pressed by CNN’s Abby Phillip on Tuesday night, Charlamagne called Biden a “s***ty elected official” but warned that former President “Donald Trump is the end of democracy as we know it.”

Before the holidays, Charlamagne said Biden could “give America the ultimate Christmas gift and step aside” from the presidential election.
“It’s not that I regret endorsing Joe Biden,” Charlamagne told Phillip. “I put my name and reputation on the line with my listeners. And when my listeners feel like he didn’t deliver, they come back to me, and they say, ‘Hey man, you’re the one who told us to vote for Joe Biden. You’re the one who told us to vote for Kamala Harris.’
“I think President Biden, historically, has been, [for] lack of a better word, a shi**y elected official, but you know, Donald Trump is the end of democracy as we know it,” Charlamagne added.

The podcaster pushed the black community to support the Biden-Harris ticket four years ago, having the then-presidential candidate on his radio show. The episode didn’t bode well for Biden, who received a wave of backlash and later apologized for telling listeners that anyone struggling to decide between him and Trump in the 2020 election “ain’t black.”
Charlamagne, who told Politico in an interview last week that he does not consider himself a Democrat or a Republican, avoided saying if he will vote for Biden in November despite confirming that he will not endorse the ticket.
