Thieves pillage $10,000 in product during Chicago beauty store smash-and-grab

A Chicago beauty store was pillaged for nearly $10,000 worth of its product when thieves ransacked the store Wednesday in the city’s latest smash-and-grab robbery.

The incident occurred at an Ulta Beauty store in the West Loop area around 3 a.m., according to a report.

In footage of the location posted to social media after the smash-and-grab, shattered glass can be seen throughout the store, with a myriad of merchandise missing.

The product taken during the smash-and-grab is estimated to be worth approximately $10,000.

An investigation into the crime is ongoing, but no arrests have been made and there are no confirmed suspects.

The West Loop Ulta is just the most recent beauty store to fall victim to Chicago crime, the report noted.

Stores across the city, including Sephora, have begun locking up fragrances to mitigate the amount of product stolen.
