EXCLUSIVE — Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) is seizing on the positive reviews of his second debate performance, hoping to harness his newfound sense of momentum to boost his polling amid a crowded field of GOP contenders.

Trust in the Mission PAC, a super PAC aimed toward supporting Scott’s campaign, released a new ad on Friday highlighting Scott’s performance on the debate stage as the South Carolina senator sought to take on a more aggressive approach against his competitors and establish himself as a dominant candidate. The 90-second ad, which was first shared with the Washington Examiner, compiled several moments from the debate stage in which Scott shot back at several of his opponents in an effort to differentiate himself from the rest of the fold.

“Sen. Tim Scott once again proved he’s uniquely capable of connecting with Republican primary voters of all stripes with a message rooted in faith, opportunity and determination,” Rob Collins, co-chairman of Trust in the Mission, said in a statement. “He was the clear winner on stage at the Reagan Library and remains the most well liked candidate in the Republican primary. While some candidates are forced to explain why their records undermine their campaign message, Sen. Scott remains singularly focused on his conservative vision for the country.”

Scott noticeably took on a more aggressive approach during Wednesday’s debate, even going so far as to repeatedly interrupt other candidates when he disagreed with their stances or said something he found factually inaccurate. At one point, Scott got into a tense back-and-forth with fellow South Carolinian Nikki Haley, attempting to hit the former governor over aspects of her record in the state.

The ad also features a video compilation of news anchors praising Scott’s performance, declaring him the winner of the debate. The video comes just two days after eight of the 13 presidential candidates met at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California, for the second debate on Wednesday night.
