Former President Donald Trump went after former Wyoming Republican Rep. Liz Cheney, calling her a “Muslim-hating warmonger” in a fiery tirade at a Michigan rally on Saturday.
“Kamala is campaigning with Muslim-hating warmonger, Liz Cheney, who wants to invade practically every Muslim country on the planet. And let me tell you the Muslims of our country, they see it, and they know it,” Trump said at a rally in Novi, Michigan, a city 25 miles north of Detroit.
The rant also included him going after her father, former Vice President Dick Cheney, and his support for the Iraq War.
“Her father was responsible for invading the Middle East, killing millions of Arabs — millions — and this is the one that Kamala is campaigning with,” he added.
Trump’s remarks come as Liz Cheney, a noted Trump critic, has been on the campaign trail with Trump’s opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, throughout this month. Dick Cheney endorsed Harris in early September.
At the same rally, Trump received the endorsement of several Muslim religious leaders in Michigan.
Trump called the group of leaders “highly respected,” before calling them onstage to give remarks.
“We, as Muslims, stand with President Trump because he promises peace, not war!” Imam Belal Alzuhairi said, discussing a “positive meeting” he and the other Muslim religious leaders had with Trump.
The mayor of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, Bill Bazzi, also endorsed Trump.

“We are going to stop the wars; we are going to make the United States safe again,” Bazzi said at the rally.
“What a nice endorsement,” Trump said after Bazzi’s speech. “These are great people.”
