Trump Calls J.B. Pritzker a Fat Slob & Woke Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson Defends Violent Criminals | Drew Hernandez
President Donald Trump called Illinois Governor JB Pritzker a “big, fat slob” and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson “incompetent” during the White House turkey pardon ceremony on November 25, 2025.
The president’s remarks came as he criticized the Democratic leaders for refusing federal assistance to address Chicago’s escalating crime crisis.
“The mayor is incompetent, and the governor is a big, fat slob,” Trump told reporters after pardoning turkeys Gobble and Waddle in the Rose Garden.
Trump stated he had resisted telling a “cute little joke” about Pritzker’s weight but proceeded to mock the governor’s appearance while urging him to “invite us in” to help make Chicago safe. The president’s comments followed a brutal attack on a 26-year-old woman who was set on fire aboard a Chicago train by a suspect with 72 prior arrests.
Low IQ Woke Mayor Johnson has previously stated that incarcerating criminals is “racist, immoral and unholy” and not the solution to reducing violence.
“We incarcerate way out violence. It is immoral. It is unholy,” Johnson said in comments that drew deserved widespread ridicule. The mayor argued that imprisonment does not solve crime and violence problems while maintaining that the approach is fundamentally racist.
Johnson’s statements came amid Chicago’s struggle with rising crime, including over recent reports of 385 murders and more than 1,300 shootings reported year-to-date.
Trump has repeatedly threatened to deploy National Guard troops to Chicago, claiming residents are “screaming for us to come”. Governor Pritzker has called Trump a “wannabe dictator” and refused to request federal intervention, insisting there is no emergency that warrants troop deployment as crime continues.
