Trump claims Mexico’s demands are proof of ‘lack of respect’ for Biden – Washington Examiner

Donald Trump suggested foreign leaders have a “lack of respect” for his 2024 opponent President Joe Biden.

Trump gave an interview that aired on One Nation with Brian Kilmeade on Saturday after Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador’s interview on 60 Minutes, where he issued a demand that the United States provide $20 billion a year in aid to its neighboring countries to the south.

“He said he wants $10 billion essentially just to talk. $10 billion to talk. No, that wouldn’t happen with me with the wall,” Trump said.

“What changed?” Kilmeade asked.

“It’s very simple: Lack of respect for the president. They would never say that to me,” Trump said. “I would not give them ten cents.”

Obrador also called for an end to the embargo against Cuba and sanctions against Venezuela. Biden has already ended the “Remain in Mexico” policy that Obrador opposed. That was in addition to the 90 executive orders from Trump’s border policies that Biden undid.

Last month, 242,587 immigrants attempted to enter the U.S. This is in addition to the more than 10 million immigrants who have reportedly entered the country illegally since Biden took office. It is the most recorded in that amount of time of any administration.
