Trump Gives Perfect Response When Asked if He Feels Safe Going to Event in Florida After Latest Assassination Attempt (VIDEO)

President Trump stopped to chat with reporters on the South Lawn as he prepared to depart for Florida.

The President visited The Villages in Florida to deliver a speech to seniors.

“President Trump has fought and delivered for America’s seniors more than any other past President,” White House spokeswoman Liz Huston said in a statement.

“This Friday, President Trump will visit the Villages in the great State of Florida to highlight how his historic Working Family Tax Cuts legislation delivered the largest tax break in history for American seniors with No Tax on Social Security,” she added.

Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked President Trump if he feels safe going to a big event after the latest assassination attempt.

Last Saturday night, 31-year-old Cole Allen of Torrance, California, sprinted past a Secret Service checkpoint at the Washington Hilton and opened fire at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

President Trump, First Lady Melania, Vance, and other dignitaries were rushed out of the ballroom and safely evacuated.

The President is making his first major public appearance since last week’s assassination attempt.

Peter Doocy asked President Trump how he felt about attending a large public event.

“This is going to be your first big public event since somebody tried to kill you on Saturday. Do you feel safe going to something like this?” Peter Doocy asked Trump.

Trump gave a perfect response.

“I don’t even think about it, Peter,” a smiling Trump said as he walked toward Marine One.
