Trump optimistic about ‘big victory’ prediction – Washington Examiner

Former President Donald Trump shared his prediction that the 2024 results would go in his favor hours before the polls closed Tuesday.

Most polls indicate the race between Trump and his opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, will be close. A RealClearPolitics poll average from Tuesday evening showed Harris with a slight 0.1-point lead nationwide. Still, Trump took to Instagram to assure his voters as long as they stay in line to vote, they will see “a big victory tonight.”

“Republicans, we’re doing really well. Stay on line and vote. Make sure you get through and vote,” Trump said. “We’re gonna have a big victory tonight.”

Trump cast his own vote alongside his wife, former first lady Melania Trump, in Florida on Tuesday. The former president will remain at his Mar-a-Lago residence through election night.

Meanwhile, Harris is hosting a watch party at her alma mater, Howard University, notably without President Joe Biden present. The White House, Harris’s residence, and the Capitol are currently surrounded by security fencing in anticipation of the election.
