Update: ALL CLEAR After Kansas City International Airport Evacuated All Travelers and Grounded All Flights Due to a “Serious Incident”

Update: Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has issued an all-clear.
Duffy wrote on X, “The security incident at @Fly_KansasCity is now clear and normal operations are resuming.”
“I want to thank law enforcement including the @FBI for their timely response.”
“The safety of passengers, airport staff, and crew members is always our number one priority.”

One of America’s top airports was evacuated Sunday afternoon due to a potential threat that has the FBI’s attention.
As KAKE reported, scores of passengers and workers were forced to leave due to a “serious incident” that is being speculated as a bomb threat. Officials have not confirmed this, however.
All flights have also been grounded.
According to KMBC, law enforcement with dogs was seen headed into the airport

The Kansas City Aviation Department has confirmed the FBI has been called to the scene to investigate.
“Airport Police are working with the FBI to substantiate any potential threat,” KCAD said.
