First Lady Melania Trump addressed the nation and made a surprise announcement this morning in the White House Grand Foyer. 

The Office of the First Lady teased the announcement this morning on Social Media:

First Lady Melania Trump announced she had secured the reunification of eight children with their families following talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The children were taken into Russia from Ukraine, and one girl from Russia to Ukraine, during the war.

Meanwhile, President Trump is en route to Walter Reed Medical Center in Maryland for a semiannual physical and to meet with troops.

President Trump will also make an announcement this evening at 5 pm ET. Details on the President’s announcement also remain unknown.

First Lady Trump is scheduled to deliver remarks at 11 am ET.
