President Joe Biden is rounding out the first night of the 2024 Democratic National Convention by speaking in support of Vice President Kamala Harris‘s bid for the White House.

Biden will address the convention at about 11 p.m. Eastern time on Monday as his No. 2 prepares to accept her party’s presidential nomination later this week. The Democratic event runs from Monday to Thursday.

Harris quickly ascended to the top of the Democratic ticket last month after Biden withdrew his bid for reelection. The president then endorsed Harris, and she is expected to accept the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination on Thursday.

Should she win the election on Nov. 5, Harris will be the country’s first female president.
