President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden are attending an interfaith prayer service for the victims of the New Year’s Day terrorist attack in New Orleans.
The prayer service is being held at the Archdiocese of New Orleans at the Cathedral-Basilica of Saint Louis, King of France. It is set to begin at 7 p.m. Eastern.
In the early hours of Jan. 1, Shamsud-Din Jabbar drove his truck through a crowd of pedestrians, killing 14 and wounding 35. He then exited his truck and began firing on police officers, who returned fire and killed him.

On Sunday, officials revealed that Jabbar had scouted out the sight of his mass killing two times previously, using sophisticated glasses to map the area out.
