The National Park Service is revealing its peak bloom prediction for the cherry trees surrounding the Tidal Basin during the National Cherry Blossom Festival press conference at 11 a.m. Thursday.
Peak bloom will be from March 29 – April 1.
Speakers will include District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bowser; Diana Mayhew, president of the National Cherry Blossom Festival; and Masatsugu Odaira, the Japanese Embassy’s minister for public affairs.
