WATCH LIVE: Dianne Feinstein to lie in state at San Francisco City Hall

San Francisco is honoring the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein on Wednesday, laying her to rest at the City Hall in her home state. Feinstein died at the age of 90 of natural causes at her home in Washington, D.C., last week.

Remembered as a trailblazer in U.S. politics, Feinstein was the longest-serving woman in the Senate and longest-serving senator in California history. Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) selected Laphonza Butler, the president of EMILY’s List and a Democratic strategist, to replace the late senator until the 2024 election.

The public is invited to pay respects to Feinstein on both Wednesday and Thursday at San Francisco City Hall, when the memorial service will take place. The rotunda of City Hall will be open to the public between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. PDT.
