The Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets in the House Oversight Committee is holding a hearing on the files related to the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

TRUMP FUELS JFK CONSPIRACY THEORIES AFTER ‘SOMEWHAT UNSPECTACULAR’ FILE RELEASE

The committee announced three witnesses for the hearing, including Oliver Stone, who directed the 1991 film JFK that reignited conspiracy theories about the assassination. The other witnesses include journalist and author Jefferson Morley and researcher and author James DiEugenio.

The hearing comes after the Trump administration authorized the release of thousands of previously withheld government documents about the assassination. The documents largely support the Warren Commission’s finding that Kennedy was killed by a lone gunman, Lee Harvey Oswald.
