WATCH LIVE: House Judiciary Committee holds hearing on victims of violent crime in Chicago

The House Judiciary Committee is holding a hearing in Chicago, Illinois, called “Victims of Violent Crime in Chicago.”
The hearing is slated to begin at 10 a.m. Eastern time, and the focus will be Chicago District Attorney Kim Foxx and her policies, which the committee says “are leading to an increase in violent crime and a dangerous community for Chicago residents.”

Gianno Caldwell, whose family member was murdered in Chicago, and two retired Chicago police officers, John Garrido III and Carlos Yanez Jr., are slated to testify.
Foxx has been a popular target for conservatives, especially after presiding over the Jussie Smollett hate crime hoax, which was contrasted with how she handled more severe crimes.
