WATCH LIVE: House Ways and Means Committee hearing on campus antisemitism – Washington Examiner

The House Ways and Means Committee is holding a hearing regarding “antisemitism, radical faculty, and the failure of university leadership,” at 10:30 a.m.

The committee, chaired by Rep. Jason Smith (R-MO), is expected to call five witnesses: Shai Davidai, who went viral for his outcry against Columbia University during the pro-Palestinian protests; Jonathan Pidluzny, director of higher education reform at the America First Policy Institute; Cornell University student Talia Dror; Kenneth L. Marcus, the founder and chairman of the Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law; and Ted Deutch, CEO of the American Jewish Committee.

“What I want to tell Congress today is that what we are facing is a crisis,” Marcus said on NBC News before the hearing. “What we are seeing is a fundamental change in our higher-education culture.”

The hearing will likely touch extensively on the recent outcry on college campuses amid Israel’s war with Hamas.
