President Joe Biden will speak on the importance of strengthening democracy on Thursday in a speech that honors his close personal friend, and political rival, the late Sen. John McCain.

Biden’s speech comes the same day as the first indictment inquiry hearing against him in the House, regarding his alleged interactions with, and personal knowledge of, his son Hunter Biden‘s foreign business dealings.

In the speech, Biden is expected to condemn the “extremist” MAGA movement and is expected to announce federal funding for a new museum and library in honor of the late senator, which would be constructed in Arizona.

The museum and library will provide “education, work, and health monitoring programs to underserved communities in the state,” a White House official told CNN.

Biden is expected to speak at 2:45 p.m. Eastern Time.
